Body fat estimate

Four measurements. One useful estimate.

The scale tells you what you weigh. It can’t tell you what that weight is made of. Grab a tape measure, take four measurements, and get an estimate of your body fat in a couple of minutes.

Your measurements

A soft tape, snug but not digging in.

cm

Stand tall against a wall, no shoes.

cm

Just below your voice box, with the tape sloping slightly down at the front.

cm

The narrowest part of your waist, after a normal breath out. No sucking in.

cm

The widest part of your bum, feet together.

Your estimate will show here.

Add your four measurements and tap “Get my estimate”.

It’s an estimate

Tape-measure methods can be a few percent out either way. That’s why you’ll see a range. The real value is measuring the same way over time and watching the trend.

Data, not drama

This number says nothing about your worth, your health or what your body can do. Use it alongside your strength, your energy and how your clothes fit.

Not the right tool for everyone

If you’re pregnant, have recently had a baby, or body numbers aren’t helpful for you right now, skip this one. You don’t need it to make progress.
